FLA denies mischievous video being circulated on WhatsApp

KINGSTON, Jamaica: The statutory body responsible for the licensing and regulating of the use of firearms in Jamaica, the Firearm Licensing Authority (FLA), is advising the public that it is in no way associated with the lewd video being circulated on social media. The video, which is primarily being broadcasted on WhatsApp, shows a male and a female performing a sexual act on a desk in an office. The video is accompanied by the caption, “FLA ADVISORY - Female Applicants!.....”. The FLA is informing the public that the video and the persons in it, are not employed to or in any way connected to the FLA.

The FLA intends to lodge a formal complaint to the Cyber Crimes Division of the Jamaica Constabulary Force, to investigate the source of this malicious video as it is viewed as a blatant attack on the integrity and reputation of the organization.

The FLA takes this opportunity to ask responsible Jamaicans to not continue the circulation of this video and its accompanied message. Persons are encouraged to report to the police those who continue to forward this video to others.
